From time to time, I’ll be posting things I’ve come across during the course of the week’s journey. Books, poems, essays, websites, blogs, quotes. A TV show or radio program or even a music DVD.
For today’s share, here are two very fun things I stumbled across in my pilgrimage this week.

Frustrated with your writing process? Trying to figure out if you need a new method? Positive that other writers—especially successful ones—simply sit down at their desks and pop out poems for five hours straight? This blog post from Tin House will ease your mind.
And, speaking of the writing process, my writing friend Anika Fajardo drew my attention this week to:
I can’t decide if this is ridiculously awesome, awesomely ridiculous, or just plain ridiculous, but honestly, whatever gets those words on the page is all right with me. And Written? Kitten! does it. Because every time you write 100 words, what should appear on the screen but a picture of a kitten! And not just the same kitten every time, but for every 100 words, a different kitten. Honestly, I write for spiritual fulfillment, and I write for the dream of a fat royalty check. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, could motivate me as well as the promise of seeing a picture of a kitten. (Note: the last time I tried, Written? Kitten! was working on Internet Explorer, but not on Firefox.)
Enjoy. And I’ll see you on Monday for Week 2 of my writing pilgrimage.
