A Zen Approach to Social Media for Writers

For the last few days, I’ve been sharing posts from other bloggers who I feel have some extraordinary things to tell writers. This is one I found extremely useful in developing my own marketing strategy.

For 21 years, Peter Sterlacci has served as an intercultural consultant focusing on personal branding. He describes himself as one of only 15 Master-level Certified Personal Branding Strategists in the world, and is known as “Japan’s personal branding pioneer.”

Sterlacci thanks social media for helping to launch and brand his successful business. “Social media is, and always will be, an integral part of personal branding around the world,” he writesand any writer who has struggled to market a book knows exactly what he is talking about.

But, in this thought-provoking post. Sterlacci advocates actually stepping away from social media for a time. “Let’s take a lesson from Zen meditation and consciously stop, sit, breathe and develop healthier social media habits,” he writes.
